IDEA began staging plays on stories written by the legendary writer SHRI PREM CHAND from August 2005. On the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary, which fell on 31st.July 2006, IDEA had performed 80 stories in the festival of plays celebrated by us in his honour.

IDEA further desires to stage 200 more stories in the coming two years (2009), in this way IDEA shall be paying their humble homage to this great writer. In our above endeavor

IDEA has received very warm, unending and unconditional support from the media both "print" and "electronic", and learned individuals who have over the years appreciated the values of his writings. IDEA humbly submits and declares that nobody has ever paid homage to any writer as IDEA has paid to SHRI PREM CHAND. IDEA has been performing at Keertan Kendra, Mumbai, on every Saturday, at Bhavan’s Chowpatty, on every last Saturday of each month, Chowpatty, every third Saturday at 11a.m. at Bhavan’s college, Andheri, at Rajasthani Mahila Mandal on last Thursday of every month, Nana Chowk, at Oxford Book Shop, Churchgate on first Friday of each month.

IDEA also performs at various other venues at the invitation of several N.G.Os.
